The money exchange office located in Marina Mall creatively utilizes a compact space, ingeniously integrating varying ceiling heights to enhance both customer interaction and staff functionality. A dedicated staff access ensures smooth operations, while a striking world map installation underscores the global nature of the exchange.
The design features a refined material palette of bright whites and warm wood accents, embodying the belief that intelligent space usage defines great design.

Located within Marina Mall, this money exchange office is a testament to how constraints can inspire creativity. Designed within a highly compact footprint—tucked near the entrance and partially extending beneath a staircase—the project required a thoughtful and strategic approach to space planning.
One of the primary challenges was managing two distinct ceiling heights: 7’6” and 8’6”. Rather than treating this variation as a limitation, the design leverages it to enhance functionality. The lower-ceiling zone was intentionally designated as the customer interaction area, creating a sense of intimacy, security, and focus. In contrast, the high ceiling section accommodates staff workstations, offering a more open and comfortable environment suitable for extended working hours.
To ensure seamless operations, a dedicated side access was introduced for staff movement. This allows workflows to remain uninterrupted while preserving a smooth and pleasant customer experience.
At the heart of the space, a striking world map installation forms the backdrop for the reception area—subtly reinforcing the global identity of the money exchange through a curated display of currencies.
The material palette remains clean and refined. Crisp white surfaces enhance brightness and openness, while warm wood accents introduce depth and balance—resulting in a space that feels minimal, yet sophisticated.
This project reflects a core belief: great design is not defined by the size of a space, but by how intelligently it is used. Every element here is intentional, and every square foot serves a purpose—delivering both efficiency and elegance in equal measure.
